Archiving Policy
The Journal of Social Impact Studies (JSIS) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content to ensure that scholarly research remains permanently available to the academic community and the public.
1. Digital Preservation
-
All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to provide a permanent and unique link to the work.
-
JSIS maintains secure electronic backups of all published content to safeguard against accidental loss.
2. Repository Deposit
-
The journal’s content is deposited in recognized institutional and subject-based repositories to ensure redundancy and accessibility.
-
Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version (Version of Record) or the accepted manuscript in their institutional, disciplinary, or public open-access repositories without embargo, provided the original source and DOI are cited.
3. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Participation
-
JSIS supports participation in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and/or CLOCKSS archiving systems to ensure decentralized, distributed preservation and continual accessibility.
4. Self-Archiving Policy
-
Authors may share the final published PDF on personal websites, academic networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), and open-access repositories, provided that proper citation and the DOI link to the published article are included.
5. Indexing Preservation
-
Metadata and full texts are submitted to relevant indexing and abstracting services to enhance discoverability and ensure long-term availability.
By implementing these measures, JSIS guarantees that its scholarly publications will remain accessible to current and future generations of researchers.
