Paper Prints Policy

The Journal of Social Impact Studies (JSIS) is committed to making its published content widely accessible in both digital and physical formats to meet the diverse needs of authors, academic institutions, libraries, and research organizations. While JSIS operates primarily as an online, open-access journal to maximize global reach and minimize environmental impact, we acknowledge that printed copies hold enduring value for archival purposes, academic reference, institutional collections, and ceremonial use (such as academic awards or presentations).

1. Availability of Printed Copies

  • Individual Articles – Authors and readers can request high-quality printed versions of specific published articles.

  • Complete Issues – Institutions, libraries, or researchers may order bound, printed copies of entire journal issues.

  • Special Editions – On occasion, JSIS may produce themed or conference-related printed editions for targeted distribution.

2. Printing Standards

  • All printed copies are produced directly from the final published Version of Record (VoR) in PDF format to ensure exact replication of the online version.

  • Printing is carried out using professional-grade printers with high-resolution output to maintain sharpness in text, images, charts, and tables.

  • Standard printing is done in black-and-white; color printing is available upon request for figures, tables, or images that benefit from color presentation.

  • Paper quality is minimum 100 gsm for text pages and 300 gsm for cover pages, with matte or gloss finish options.

3. Charges and Payment

  • Printing and shipping costs are calculated based on:

    • Page count

    • Printing type (color or monochrome)

    • Binding type (softcover or hardcover)

    • Number of copies requested

    • Destination country and shipping method

  • A detailed quotation will be provided before processing the request.

  • Payment must be completed in advance via bank transfer, credit card, or other accepted payment methods.

4. Request Procedure

  • Requests must be submitted through the JSIS Print Request Form available on the journal’s website or sent via email to the editorial office.

  • Each request must clearly specify:

    • Title of the article or issue

    • Author names

    • Year and volume/issue of publication

    • Number of copies requested

    • Preferred printing (color/black-and-white)

    • Binding preference (if applicable)

    • Complete delivery address and contact number

  • For large institutional or library orders, a representative should be designated as the point of contact.

5. Delivery and Timelines

  • Printing and dispatch typically occur within 2–4 weeks of payment confirmation.

  • Delivery times vary based on geographical location and selected shipping service.

  • Tracking information will be provided to the requester once the shipment is dispatched.

6. Institutional and Library Services

  • JSIS offers annual print subscriptions for institutions and libraries that prefer physical archiving of every issue.

  • Bulk order discounts are available for academic departments, research centers, and conference organizers.

7. Archival and Presentation Use

  • Printed copies are suitable for library archival collections, course reference materials, faculty documentation, and formal academic presentations.

  • Authors may request multiple printed copies for personal portfolios, tenure review packages, or as gifts to collaborators and stakeholders.

8. Environmental Considerations

  • While providing printed copies, JSIS remains committed to sustainable publishing practices. Printing is done on recycled or sustainably sourced paper whenever possible, and bulk shipping is encouraged to reduce environmental impact.
