Multicultural societies are increasingly becoming the norm in the globalized world. The rise of ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity poses both challenges and opportunities for policy-makers striving to design inclusive social policies that promote equality, justice, and social cohesion. This article critically examines the complexities of policy-making in multicultural contexts, highlighting the difficulties associated with ensuring equal representation, accommodating diverse needs, and addressing systemic inequalities. It further explores the opportunities that arise from incorporating diverse perspectives, including the potential for innovation in public services and the strengthening of social solidarity. The article provides an in-depth analysis of existing policy frameworks in multicultural societies and evaluates their effectiveness in addressing the challenges faced by marginalized groups. Drawing on case studies from Pakistan, the article also offers recommendations for improving policy-making processes to ensure inclusivity and fairness.
